Niji-no-kai Japanese Class
Elementary Japanese is taught both in person at a classroom on the University of Tsukuba campus and online. The curriculum consists of Beginner Courses I, II, and III, each requiring attendance of one class per week. We operate on a two-semester system, featuring a Spring semester (April - July) and a Fall semester (October - February).
Tuition: 1,500 yen per semester for both face-to-face and online classes

Members of research institutes in Tsukuba City
Family members of the two groups above
Venue: Ichinoya Community Center, University of Tsukuba
Online Classes
The online classes are open to:
International students and researchers at universities in Tsukuba City
Members of research institutes in Tsukuba City
Family members of the two groups above
Anyone who wishes to study Japanese and meets both conditions A and B below (subject to class capacity):
A:Those who have registered their residency with their local municipality.
B:Those who live in Tsukuba City or its vicinity, work or attend school in Tsukuba City, or are family members of someone who does.

A small event is held for students who complete the course in either July or February, depending on when you started. You will also have the opportunity to give a short speech to demonstrate what you have learned during the completion ceremony.
Please note that you cannot take both group classes and private lessons in the same semester.
Our instructors regularly hold study meetings to continuously improve their teaching skills.
